Ligstoelsessies 2021

The continuation of the new ‘De Ligstoelsessies’ is initiated by the success of the last Covid-proof project during the fall of 2020. However, this time we are using a different approach. We are going a step further in terms of theatricality and stage presence, and we are putting the focus on the musicians as performers. In order to do so, Elsina Jansen will join the crew as stage director. She will be helping us discovering our stage presence, increasing body awareness and non-verbal expression and communication between the musicians, but also interaction with the audience. This production will consist of several workshops and rehearsals that will conclude with a performance on the 5th of June at the art gallery Pictura in Groningen.

With this approach, the concrete artistic proposal will develop during the workshops and the musicians will shape the content collectively. We are sure the result will be very meaningful.

Ligstoelsessies 2020

Met veel enthousiasme presenteert het Kamerorkest van het Noorden het programma van de Ligstoelsessies 2020!

Speciaal aangepast aan de situatie rondom corona, een intieme muziekervaring waarbij jij je op een ligstoel kunt laten meevoeren in de wonderschone klanken van klassieke muziek.

Laat je meevoeren in een reis door verschillende stadia van de klassieke muziekgeschiedenis (waar klassiek niet altijd zo klassiek is, en waar geschiedenis niet zó historisch is) zonder zelfs maar uit jouw ligstoel te komen. In de ‘Ligstoelsessies’ spelen leden van het orkest de mooiste solo’s, duo’s, trio’s en strijkkwartetten in Het Paleis op vijf zondagmiddagen. Het publiek heeft niet alleen de rol van de eenvoudige luisteraar. In plaats daarvan heeft het ook de mogelijkheid om de uitvoering in verschillende richtingen te sturen door middel van persoonlijke inbreng, waardoor elk concert een unieke ervaring wordt.
